artisCAD is a CAD/CAM application intended for artistic works. More specifically: engraving, 3D
digitizing, embossing and design/manufacturing of complex 3D models. Unlike other technical applications using
just NURBS models of the parts, artisCAD has its own surface type named a polysurface. A polysurface can
behave as a NURBS, a set of polygonal facets or a point cloud being just one entity type. The application interface
uses OpenGL, MAI and KML.
artisCAD will not be available before the end of this year. For the moment,
there is no beta version available for download either. Below you can see some screenshots taken from a beta version.
