These are the options available at the board options dialog:

Min/max grid step: These two options are only important to create bitmaps for publishing. When you export gobans
to .bmp or .jpeg files, setting these parameters, you can produce precise bitmap sizes. The default values let the goban
resize automatically to the available area, as long as the resulting cell size is between 6 and 250 (pixels per board
cell).
Color options: You may select four colors as specified.
Grid width: The option "auto" draws with "thin line" in small boards and "thick line" in big ones.
Board images, shadow, territory map style and move numbers: These options select
appearance issues. Try them!
Smooth repaint: This option produces improved visual experience at the price of some extra RAM. The gobans
are rendered to a memory buffer instead of to the screen. The screen is updated only when the picture is finished.
Display symbols and labels: Viewing symbols and labels may be disabled.
One symbol per cell: Verifies if more than one of the following items: the last stone marker, a symbol or a
number are drawn in the same cell. If true, only the highest priority symbol is drawn, as
explained here.
