It will be updated frequently. see http://www.dybot.com/goknot/downsite.htm November, 04 2006 GoKnot cleanness certificates added to the website The website is being modified. Cleanness certificates have been added. More changes will be made soon. see http://www.dybot.com/goknot/cleannss.htm November, 03 2006 Over 13,000 GoKnot downloads in 10 months Thank you !! (This success encourages development. There will be good news soon.) GoKnot 2.0 is now less than a year old and has been downloaded over 13,000 times. These statistics do not include downloads from (many) sites mirroring the executable nor GoKnot copies distributed in DVD with magazines.
The table above shows a maintained visit rate above 100 visits a day. Monthly downloads of the program are: 1314 (Jan), 1207(Feb), 1868(Mar), 1213(Apr), 1167(may), 1406(Jun), 1490(Jul), 1334(Aug), 1102(Sep) and 1264(Oct).
February, 08 2006 I feel Danish today
This is a scientific website and, needless to say, critical thinking is the mother of science. Science has been criticized since its very beginning, mostly by people who felt threatened, but once in a million a real genius criticized scientific knowledge, and... ... from that critic science was enriched and reinforced. The only problem with criticizing prophets is that it only reveals their weaknesses and contradictions. If you believe in ANY prophet, criticize him/her/it, at least ten minutes a day, for the sake of your mental health. And, if some revelation arises from such healthy practice, please DON'T tell me. I don't want to become anybody's prophet. :-) January, 08 2006 More GoKnot artwork added Today, I added three new images for linking to GoKnot's main site. They are all smaller than 12 Kbytes !!
December, 30 2005 GoKnot 2.0 toolkits updated The website now contains updated versions of the gke toolkits. Also, GoKnot texts were extracted for translation. Minor changes were made to some messages. A small bug concerning the "Node annotation" dialog was fixed. see http://www.dybot.com/GoKnot December, 26 2005 GoKnot 2.0 website has been updated The website is now up to date with the latest GoKnot version see http://www.dybot.com/GoKnot December, 24 2005 Yes, its .. .. Christmas Eve !! Still working in the new GoKnot 2.0 website, for the moment, here are 3 GoKnot adds: Any Go related site can link to any of them. I can also render them in higher quality. These are in JPEG (quality 3) to make them as small as possible:
December, 23 2005 GoKnot 2.0 is released !! It was worth waiting two years!! For a long time I was (internally) using something called GoKnot Transitional. Now the transition is complete. And the result is a complete Windows Go solution supporting: Game trees in SGF, game maps in HTML, new realistic boards, hints during play, SGF annotation, conversion of any SGF file using the reference implementation SGFC, spreadsheet windows for selecting games and players at the Telnet client, an open proposal for collaborating, and the most important: a new standard for Go engines, gke, open to developers. GoKnot is designed to be a development tool for gke, the inherently multi-CPU standard intended to be the next quantum jump in Computer Go. see http://www.dybot.com/goknot November, 22 2005 CGD 2006 has been released. CGD is now eight years old. It is a deeply tested Windows (version independent) system. There are few changes to mention. Most are related with the IDE. The IDE is now using the latest versions of MAI, the text editors, the HTML browsers, etc. see http://www.dybot.com/cgd November, 26 2003 GoKnot 1.2 has been released. The previous version has only been available for 12 days, the reason to release a new version so soon is a new version of GnuGo. A build of GnuGo 3.4 has been found that is significantly smaller and faster than the GnuGo 3.3 engine provided with GoKnot 1.1 see http://www.dybot.com/goknot November, 25 2003 The new website is ready. This is the first version of the website created with WebBuild. The new site contains a description of MAI 2 (including a user manual) for the first time. see http://www.dybot.com/mai Also for the first time, a discussion of KML is published. see http://www.dybot.com/kml A lot of old material has been reorganized, specially my Number Theory pages. see http://www.dybot.com/numbers The first (February 2000) version of dyBOT has been included until the KML version is released. see http://www.dybot.com/dybot A payment system using PayPal has been implemented to register shareware products. November, 14 2003 GoKnot 1.1 has been released. The most important change is: GoKnot 1.1 has been compiled with MAI 2. * The most spectacular feature of MAI 2's clients is that they can float. Now, when you are observing a game, you can make its window float and drag it where you want, even on a multiple monitor system. * An other feature of MAI 2 client windows is that they can always be closed, regardless of being a node or not. Other changes to GoKnot include: * GoKnot 1.1 dialog box system is now CGD version 2004 * Other libraries used by GoKnot have been updated to their 2004 version, including optimization for Pentium IV processors. The main application kernel is the same as GoKnot 1.0. see http://www.dybot.com/goknot November, 7 2003 CGD 2004 released. The latest version of CGD has changes in its manual. Internal Release 8 cgdrun20.dll : Compiled with the 2004 release of TWindow objects Bug fix: cgdrun20.dll help message displaying over other help messages Major code improvements for Pentium IV cgdRuntimeVersion now returns 2004 cgdInternalRelease now returns 8 CGD.exe : The CGD environment now includes the new WebBuild-compatible HTML browser to view the help CGD help has been improved, including a direct link to predefined types and to cgdTypes.pas for copy/paste see http://www.dybot.com/cgd October, 20 2003 New website A new product (at the moment, for internal use only) called WebBuild builds and verifies the new website. The website is being tested now. The new website will be available at http://www.dybot.com soon. WebBuild accepts HTML input created or edited by many sources, including: Mozilla Composer, OpenOffice HTML Editor, Microsoft Word, etc. and fully re-translates it into grammatically simple, format optimized, version independent, fully relinked "vanilla HTML". (The kind file that can be opened with Netscape 3.0.) It also includes coherent support for browsers not supporting frames, automatic management of: indices, menus, keywords, images, links, FTP upload, cleaning of redundant or unsupported commands or parameters ... Of course, WebBuild output is 100% compatible with the updated (under 100 KByte) HTML browser object included with all applications to display Help with only one limitation: Image files must be in jpg format to be displayed by the maiHTML object. (GIF is not supported.) The combination of WebBuild and maiHTML provides both the website and the applications with a new automatically updated HTML interface to:
October, 8 2003 CGD 2003 updated. No new version generated. Nothing changed in programming. CGD.exe : New version of the HTML browser fully compatible with WebBuilder. Help files : Upper/lower case in links was adjusted for UNIX web servers. see http://www.dybot.com/cgd June, 4 2003 Number Theory papers. Mostly old material. Some pascal sources had never been made public before. Sources include a 64 bit long integer library for numeric and cryptographic purposes. An expression parser/profiler for Moaña formulae and more. see http://www.dybot.com/numbers May, 5 2003 CGD 2003 updated. New version generated. Internal Release 7 cgdrun20.dll : * Double monitor support: Modal dialogs show up in the same monitor as their "aParent" window. * Library update: The linked WinObj32.pas library is now the based on the 16/05/2003 MAI 2 release * cgdInternalRelease now returns 7 CGD.exe : * Is now linked with MAI 2. No new version generated. Nothing changed in programming. CGD.exe : Minor changes made to the HTML browser. Help files : Upper/lower case in links was adjusted for UNIX web servers. see http://www.dybot.com/cgd Feb, 27 2003 GoKnot 1.0 was released. GoKnot 1.0 was finally released. The delay was partially because the Go engine has been changed from GnuGo 3.2 to GnuGo 3.3 (released this month!). Also, IGS has announced: "On March 4, 2003, IGS PANDANET is planning to move IGS from it's current workstation to a new one." We have tested GoKnot on the new workstation and it seems to work fine. If there is any problem with the new system, we will release a new version promptly. Enjoy It! see http://www.dybot.com/goknot Feb, 20 2003 The new website has started. It contains two new programs available for downloading: 1. CGD 2003 This is not a new program, but it is released as shareware for the first time. 2. GoKnot 1.0 First version of a Go player/analyzer/telnet client. |
